Do my pipettes
need to be calibrated?
This is the last thing we
want to do for your lab instrument; however, we want to
calibrate you pipette, and we want you to desire our services
each and every year at a minimum... and to recommend our
products and services to others...
Calibration may mean different
things among several people involved in the use of the
instruments.

We believe the "process" is the
paramount priority in the "calibration" of your instruments.
The actual "calibration"
(a mechanical corrective adjustment) of the pipette
instrument for obtaining accurate performance at three
specific volume settings is important. The adjustment
for accurate perfomance (calibration) must be accomplished;
as, the last of four factors used in the
"processing" of your instruments.
"Calibration"
as the sole remedy, is at times; the least important
"factor" in the processing of your instruments
(sometimes a pipette will return to corrected performance
after cleaning, renewal, and repairs are accomplished
; however future performance is "NOT ASSURED").
Calibration, should never be the
only factor employed during the processing
of your pipettes... This adjustment, should only be done
after the pipette is "known to be" air-tight,
clean, and fully serviceable; which must include, the
replacement of the old seal with a new seal & o-ring.
The present and future, perfomance
of the instrument is then assured by "Calibration"
and "Verification" . The actual performance
results achieved, are documented for your "Certified"
use.
"Cleaning, Renewal, Repair,
and Calibration" services
(factors) are what we employ and offer to correct the
deviation of instrument performance from our standard.
This is what we provide, and what we base our service
philosophy upon.
Each factor
is given equal weight in priority, need and desirability. The "process"
is severely compromised
with the weighted priority, absence, and / or degradation
of any of the four service factors inclusive to our "Standard Operating Procedure"... We are in the business of eliminating variables.
This is done at several opportunities from our employed
use of several standardized state of the art five (5)
place self-calibrating micro balance.
For a little more information; ask
for a copy of our five (5) page Standard Operating Procedure
( single spaced) and (#10 font)... We follow this procedure
to the intent and the letter of the document. We are not
like anyone else. we are better, and we can prove it in
several ways and on several levels !!!
Do you work
on most pipette manufacturer's instruments?
Yes, by appointment in your lab or
if you wish to mail us your pipettes we will process them
in our lab and return the instruments to you with out
handling, packaging or shipping charges.
